Early 19th Century Step Down Windsor Rocker
Sturdy Early American Step Down Windsor Rocker. It appears to have been refinished at some point. The bottom still shows the dark black paint. This step down rocker has turned/tapered, spindles and has a seat made with a single piece of wood. No use of nails in the construction of this lovely rocker. It is the first I have seen like this. It is very unique in a delicate way. Super comfortable! May have been a nursing rocker.
