About Us
Weβve evolved and adapted to keep on trend with the current economic climate into a strictly online marketplace. By no longer being a brick & mortar shop we have been freed up to sell globally through our ecommerce platform, as well as allowed a deeper focus on higher quality merchandise.
With this updated approach, weβve been granted the opportunity to stay true to our core Grass-Roots values. Our hope is that you can find something offered in our shop that can refresh your decor; brings you joy, or at the very least a bit of savoir-faire to your home!

Leased larger store a few blocks from our first shop.
Back in 2012, we at VTC noticed the pattern in specific customer requests for more personally curated merchandise. So we began buying at auction: digging through storage lockers, and sowing the seeds for barter & consignment.

The Summer we began our 1st shop, the recession was affecting everyone and we decided to work on developing our local community involvement. We devoted a space to receive, resell items, & donate items to distribute to our local church. It was a humble small location that had flourished enough to make an impact in the surrounding beach community and did a lot of good work in Mexico.
It was so successful that I needed to lease a larger store.
We kept both store locations going for a few month to allow the VTC Regulars to adjust as the business continued to grow.
Now being in the GNW, itβs continued to be an adventure to go with the flow and still keep in alignment with our vision that seems to attract artistic and diverse clientele.
Thanks for reading and thank you for supporting our shop!β
